Poetry

“Poetry is a call to action. If it doesn’t make you see something, make you feel something, make you do something, it isn’t poetry. It’ll make you check on your daughter at 2 am, it’ll make you walk outside to smell the rain, make you remember the way the ocean feels on your skin, make you hug your mom,  help a stranger, stop your car, gasp for breath. Poetry is life.”
